Bolbitis palustris. Bolbitis ferns have different-looking fertile and sterile fronds. On the fertile fronds (right), the reproductive structures are spread over the entire undersurface. In some species, including this one, sterile fronds can vegetatively produce new plants (bottom left). The closest relatives in New Zealand are perhaps Lastreopsis and Rumohra.
