What do a Theremin, a harp, a harmonium, tape delay, and Colin McCahon have to do with each other?

This Sunday in Nga Toi Arts Te Papa Riki Gooch will be performing a collaborative composition in response to Walk (series c) by Colin McCahon. The harp, harmonium, tape delay and the theremin are just some of the instruments that will be played and used in the performance.

Promising to fill the entire gallery with sound, this work is an exciting opportunity for Te Papa to work alongside composers, musicians and music students from Taita College.  It will also offer visitors the opportunity to experience Colin McCahon’s work through sound and music.

Starting at 2pm in Nga Toi Arts Te Papa this Sunday the 23rd, this free performance is part of our McCahon Suite of events.
