It was her idea to have a present for each soldier, I managed to pick one up in a Antique shop in Wellington a few years back.. some had Christmas cake with a card in, smokes, if the soldiers was a smoke, cigarettes or pipe and tobacco. My one is here near the computer, its brass… has France. Russia. hard to make out the other writing, I need to check it out on google as its all written there, its a treasure to have. Christmas 1914 embossed on it..
