Westland Petrel Procellaria westlandica has its GPS logger deployed during field work near Punakaiki, New Zealand by Dr Susan Waugh (Te Papa) and Mark Fuller (BirdLife International)

Westland petrel research as part of Te Papa’s research programme on New Zealand species, we are learning where the species feeds at sea during different parts of its breeding cycle
